Example of how to submit your comments using the form

We are loath to advise how to complete the Representation Form but it is very prescriptive and uses jargon and we consider that it is not user-friendly. We have considered various opinions to provide you with our best efforts at guidance but please use your own judgement
We want your submission to be compliant with the requirements stated on Mid Sussex District Council's Consultation Page

If you wish to respond on one of the other documents or different sections/policies of the District Plan then please submit a separate form for each response you wish to make.

Here is an example of form-filling for an objection to the draft District Plan against developing Land at Foxhole Farm DPA14:

If it is the Content you are seeking to make comments on, it is likely it will relate to soundness.

Plans are deemed 'sound' if they are

a)Positively prepared – providing a strategy which, as a minimum, seeks to meet the area’s objectively assessed needs; and is informed by agreements with other authorities, so that unmet need from neighbouring areas is accommodated where it is practical to do so and is consistent with achieving sustainable development;

b) Justified – an appropriate strategy, taking into account the reasonable alternatives, and based on proportionate evidence;

c) Effective – deliverable over the plan period, and based on effective joint working on cross-boundary strategic matters that have been dealt with rather than deferred, as evidenced by the statement of common ground; and

d) Consistent with national policy – enabling the delivery of sustainable development in accordance with the policies in this Framework and other statements of national planning polict, where relevant
